TO ENTER THE CONTEST.  All you have to do is write a brief yet detailed response to the following questions: What brought you to MagicDeckVortex.com in the first place? What do you love the most about this website? If you could change one thing about MDV, what would it be? ONCE DONE, email your entry to this email address.  The best entries will be selected and entered into the contest. The participants will go through several weeks of fun and challenging contests.  The winner will be crowned Victor of MDV IDOL 3.. and perhaps win some prizes.  ~Staff~

As Tynion has previously mentioned, MDV IDOL 3 has begun. But this time, we are doing it a wee bit different. This time, to become a contestant, you have to do a little work first. What kind of work? Well, it’s easy. Please keep reading to find out – I’m going to change something to make things a little easier for you. But first know that this MDV IDOL will be the best yet!

To quote the 'Host Man':

That’s right fans! And just like in the second contest, we are pushing the limit, and keeping the contest new and fresh. Curious as to how we will do that? Then you have two options at your disposal to finding out.

First, you can wait around and see how it all unfolds…

OR

Second, you can join in and be apart of the fun!

When I said MDV IDOL 3 had begun, it has. But only in terms of you all submitting something to possibly be a contestant for the contest. Once the contestants are chosen, they will be put through… well, I can’t spoil all of the fun, now can I?

Last MDV IDOL, the winner’s card (pictured to the right) was submitted to Powershift Development to be in the next set following Celixia. For those that don’t know, Celixia is a fictional set of MTG cards made here on Magic Deck Vortex. What will the prize be for MDV IDOL 3? That has yet to be announced, but know that it will be good.

We haven’t set a deadline for the submissions for MDV IDOL 3, but here’s where I change a few things. Previously, to enter the contest you had to write a short ‘essay’ of 1,000 words or more that covered the following points:

What brought you to MagicDeckVortex.com in the first place?

What do you love the most about this website?

If you could change one thing about MDV, what would it be?

Doesn't seem too difficult, right? 

So what am I changing?

The 1000 word essay!

You still need to submit something answering the above questions, but it doesn’t HAVE to be 1000 words. In fact, I’m not going to put a word minimum on it at all. But know this: the more thorough and thought out your submission, the better chance you have of being in the contest. Once your entry is complete, submit it to this email address.

Now, that’s simple. Isn’t it? And that’s much less intimidating than writing something close to homework. I was never a big fan of homework, and I'm sure you aren't either.  As always, I want to keep the contests here on MDV fun and involving you. I felt this high word cap on the entries was foiling the fun that could be had from this contest. And limiting the number of people that entered… and thus not being much fun for anyone.

I should probably take a moment to let you, a possible contestant for the contest, know the requirements of it:

• You name can’t be Tynion or Casual Violence.
• You should have time to participate in weekly and/or bi-weekly contests over a six-week period.
• You need to have what it takes to outlast other competitive contestants in remarkably fun and yet grueling contests.
• You’ve had fun with previous contests on MDV, like MDV IDOL one and two.

Those requirements aren’t too difficult to achieve, unless of course you are Tynion or Casual Violence. And thus I encourage you to enter. Answering the questions mentioned above aren’t all that difficult. I’m sure you can put something good together in under 25 minutes.
