Welcome to Avatar Week! This entire week we will be dedicating to the Avatars of Magic. As you may remember, a while back, we held a poll here at Magic Deck Vortex, in which you, the readers, would chose which theme we would use as a feature for an entire week. Much to the chagrin of the Writing Staff here at MDV, you chose Avatars. While we were trying to find the rat who suggested Avatars in the first place, Streetz meekly confessed, in true bad guy fashion "I did it! But it wasn’t supposed to win!"

Well, it did. As much as we Writers want to think that we are entertaining you, apparently, we are not as smart as we think we are. So, without further ado, I present to you, Cantrip Week!

Well, it was worth one last try.

If only you knew how hard we tried to make this Avatar thing come to pass. First we tried to pack votes into the ballot box, only to find that we could only vote once per computer. Then we even thought to sabotage the vote, Florida style. We even went so far as to talk about hijacking our own website and holding it ransom, until you guys finally came to your senses and voted for Cantrips, or Lands, or for Pete’s sake Insects. Anything except Avatars!

In the end, we gathered our wits, and senses. We swallowed our pride, and now proudly present to you… Cantrip Week.

…I mean Avatar Week.
