Pyrohemia says about caster's damage:
Pyrohemia deals 1 damage to each creature and each player.

But the interaction with Gisela:
If a source would deal damage to you or a permanent you control, prevent half that damage, rounded up.

Half of 1 is 1/2, rounded up = 1, so the caster still takes damage?!?!?!

I know the Comp Rules say M:tG uses integers, but does not restrict them in computation only in the final result.
Otherwise the "rounded" command in the instruction would not have applied. IHTH?

Yes, that is indeed the case. But, my friend, that one damage is the damage that gets prevented. So I take 0 (1 damage which gets prevented) and my opponent gets 2 (1 damage that gets doubled). I'd like to add a Repercussion to that.

Some of these combos were found in the Artificers article on MTGFanatic. Others were not.

Champion of Lambholt and Craterhoof Behemoth have great synergy, as long as you have a few more creatures, you end up with a big stompy group, of easily unblockable creatures.

In testing, I've used them with Riku of Two Reflections to great and hilarious effect in Commander.

Arcane Melee, Izzet Guildmage, [/card]Desperate Ritual[/card] (Infinite)

O.o... uh, I think you are mixing up Arcane Melee with Training Grounds... also, its the lava spike combo. You splice desperate ritual to Lava Spike.

Arcane Melee can't reduce the CMC of a card.

Love some of the other combos though.

EDIT: Thought I would add my personal favourite combo right now... I am using it in my ally deck at the moment, and it will soon appear in my new elf deck...

Cloudstone Curio + 2x Abundant Growth... now draw like a boss.

Malignus + rush of blood + essence harvest or alternatively Malignus + fatal frenzy + rite of consumption insta gib. Previous post was a mistake based on infinite turns and temporal mastery, my bad.
