I am leaving for GP Indianapolis this afternoon and thought I would post the deck that I intend on running at the event. It is a pretty standard GW Maverick deck. Like most of my decks, when forced with the decision, I choose consistency over one-ofs and variety. I chose the deck because I like durdly green dudes, I don't think this is the type of deck that is going to give me a headache by the end of the day, most of my rounds should end in a reasonable amount of time, and the deck is consistent with a reasonable manabase (manabase being the reason I chose not to run punishing fire or bant).

The only changes I have been considering in the main are possibly the addition of one Scryb Ranger at the cost of a pridemage most likely and also changing one Hierarch to a Birds of Paradise to occasionally hold a sword or batterskull in a stalemate. I also haven't been overly excited about Sword of Fire and Ice. Maybe it should be a different Sword. My sideboard, however, is completely in question. I like the split that I have with graveyard hate. I'm not sure how many Leylines and Canonists I should run. It is possible that I should just play 4 Leylines and no Canonists. I'm not sure. Linvala is for the mirror. I haven't tested her as much as I would like, but she seems quite good. Other cards I have considered for the sideboard are Sword of Feast and Famine for the mirror primarily (Junk, Bant, GW, and Punishing Maverick) as well as BUG control. Another card that seems really good is Phyrexian Metamorph, although he is admittedly better in an Enlightened Tutor package sideboard. Any comments or suggestions are appreciated.
