I wrote this poem because of a recent event which caused me to be sad. (no details are to be supplied currently) And so i will share it with you guys. plz let me know what u think. I'll only be able to come on on thursdays now for 2 hours, so i will have to wait till next week to respond to any comments. Plz enjoy.BTW: its suppose to be read with a jazzy tone, kind of like Gina Renee is singing it from Soulstice. (to everyone out there who knows who that is, u rock and deserve a high 5; If you don't know who they are, shame shame, look them up on Google.)(for those who know what i mean, it sounds like the song illusion)

As I plummet through the air,
I cannot help but to despair,
Trying to see through the illusion,
I just can't break this confusion,
The colors blur as i fall,
Why can't i see the writing on the wall,
I do not think i was a tool,
Nothing but a blind fool.

And as I drop the birds, they crow,
As I take my walk down death row,
Can't see the forest for the trees,
Couldn't see what was in front of me,
The fog won't clear, the Questions stop,
My head feels as it's about to pop,
I don't think I can take the strain,
This confusion is driving me out of my brain.

[this following is the chorus]

Can't see the forest for the trees,
Can't see what is in front of me,
Can't think, can't see, can't even hear,
Lift your soul up to the stratosphere,
How could I have been so blind?
Can't bend it, break it, hard as i try,
I fell for the illusion,
I fell into confusion.

[here, the chorus ends, what is between these sets of brackets is the chorus]

Can't see the look, in your eyes,
Can't feel my soul, Has it died?
Wanna get out, of this maze*,
Just can't escape this dreadful haze,
Take this feeling in my head,
This feeling that I've learned to dread,
This numbing emotion, it's love,
Can't feel the sun from heaven above.

[chorus here]
(for those of you who didn't get it, i'll copy and paste it here)

Can't see the forest for the trees,
Can't see what is in front of me,
Can't think, can't see, can't even hear,
Lift your soul up to the stratosphere,
How could I have been so blind?
Can't bend it, break it, hard as i try,
I fell for the illusion,
I fell into confusion.

[end]

It was quite a day I was having when i wrote that. Plz tell me what you think. Thx. Peace out.

* it's a quote from the last words of Simon Bolivar. he said, 'how will i ever get out of this labyrinth?" and then he died. He refers to the labyrinth of suffering that every soul must walk. That is what i refer to in the poem about the Maze. (for those of you who have also read Looking for Alaska, by John Green, great book. u have great taste. U deserve another high 5. If u haven't get a copy and read it. It rocks.)
