GRUNT
11-25-2005, 11:35 AM
1) Killed by a Utopia Tree with Sunforger attached.
2) Me (Golgari): 18 life
Opponent (Dimir): 12 Life
MY TURN
Me (in play): 1 Elves of Deep Shadow, 1 Gleancrawler, 1 grave-shell scarab, 1 shambling shell.
(in hand): Nothing.
1 card left in my library
Opponent (in play) 1 Lurking Informant (my opponent is all tapped out).
(in hand): Nothing.
If my opponent does not block my grave shell scarab, he will die in this attack. I wanted to see if I had 4 putrefy or 4 last gasp in my graveyard because if I didn't, I could sac my scarab, and draw one of them to last gasp his Lurking Informant. Then he called me stupid because if I did that, I wouldn't be able to kill him this turn, anyway (not enough killing power without the scarab). He tells me to just attack, and that seemed to make sense, so I just attacked with everything. He blocked my scarab with his lurking informant, and he drew a duskmantle on his next turn, which ended the game. It was a very tense moment because if he had drawn something like a land or a convolute, it would have been useless :P.
Why is this so embarassing? Because Feldon's Cane is restricted, and I only have one in my whole deck. That was the one card left in my library, and if I had remembered that, I could have sacced my scarab, drew it, then put my whole frickin' HUGE graveyard into my library! AAAAAAAARGHHH!!! We both had a good laugh about that :P. But I still won 2/3 so, meh :P.
