Can anyone tell me what's so good about this card? Yes, it's splashable, meaning another color apart from green has some means of acceleration. But is it really worth it?
To make it worthwhile, you (usually) lose your first and second turn plays, to have a 4 drop on your third turn that might not make a difference when your opponents already have an edge on you.
Thoughts?

It's one of the better ones, in my opinion, and yeah, splashability as a plus for it. It at least fetchs you a land, rather than just getting you mana.
Although I have no plans to use it in my deck... Already have enough mana acceleration,

What deck are you talking about? Is it a green deck?

the bauble is great... its excel for red or black or white or blue... along with solemn you can end up with some nasty creatures pretty early.... sure it may seem a little slow but anything that thins out the library and makes you draw some other than land is good

Wayfarer's Bauble was used as mana acceleration in a colour that didn't have access to it normally - blue. The MUC deck of Mirrodin-Kamigawa used Wayfarer's Bauble for that reason. They could accel to keep up with their opponent's threats.
