According to RE on MTGS, there is a possibility of Seal of Fire being reprinted in either Guildpact or Dissension.

What is seal of fire? An awesome burn spell that is not as good as shock, but that has it's advantages.

Discuss.

It's not a bad card, but I don't see how it fits into the theme of the cards we've seen so far =/. Although Ravnica does seem to be trying to place more emphasis on enchantments...

If this card is being reprinted, does that mean that the other 'seal' cycle of enchantments will be reprinted as well?

Maybe its being reprinted under a different name.
w00t. I just used Seal of Fire in my 15CH deck...looks like its now Extended legal.

Perhaps they are trying to set-up for the next block? Lately Ravinca's had some pretty decent auras... so perhaps they are setting these cards up for the next block where it may be emphasizing on enchantments?

But in anycase... 8 shocks in the same format doesn't sound so bad to me :D

They REALLY need to reprint Vedalken Orrey.

No.
Please avoid one word posts. ~lionden_56~

My apologies, most high moderator. Let me restate the obvious:

Don't reprint the VO. Is that better?

Not really. The only way it would matter if they reprinted it was if it was to be useful in T2. It's not.

What does Vedalken Orrery have to do with Seal of Fire?

It essentially turns it into shock.

Shock for :5mana::r:. How awsome!

Perhaps I don't remember what vedalken orrerry does.

Ah! I was thinking the orrery got rid of upkeeps. My mistake. I didn't play a lot with my cards from Fifth Dawn or any cards from the Kamigawa block. I do own lots of cards from them, though.

:P

That's true, but I was thinking more along the lines of Cloudstone Curio. Protect your enchantments at instant speed for a mere :r: :D. As well as any other non-artifact, non-land card. Seeing how there are a lot of enchantments now, it seems to be a decent idea. Especially if Privileged Position isn't available (like you're not playing green or white :P).

i liked seal of fire because you could use it as a threat. like, since it's on the table, and ya didnt counter it, somethings gonna get burned.

To clear up any speculation...Seal of Fire HAS been confirmed. It will be the only one from the cycle, though.

Hopefully this is reprinted in GP; it seems silly to print it in DIS considering how much synergy it has with the Gruul.
