The fundamentals of the game of Mafia (http://mafiascum.net/wiki/index.php?title=Newbie_Guide)
In addition to the general forum rules (http://magicdeckvortex.com/vbforums/showthread.php?t=22330), the Mafia subforum has its own more specific rules which are as follows. The game's mod is the arbiter of its rules, in conjunction with the subforum moderator as the situation calls for.
Bold your votes. If you do not bold your vote, it will not be counted.
Unvote, if necessary, before casting a new vote.
Lynches will require a simple majority of votes. Once a player has reached the necessary majority, his pleas are useless and any attempts to unvote will be unheeded.
You may also vote: no lynch – majority votes of this kind are necessary to end the day without a death.
If you have a night choice to make, please make it in a timely matter. If the mod must post a deadline, then choices sent after the deadline will not be counted.
If you anticipate being unavailable for a relatively lengthy period of time, please post a notice to that effect in the thread.
The game is not to be discussed outside of the thread unless your role specifically states when you may do so.
Once your death scene has been posted, you’re dead. But... you still get a "Bah!" post. Aside from this, NO POSTING.
Do not edit or delete previously submitted posts. You may double post, but please don't do so excessively.
Do not quote any Private Messages from the moderator.
Do not join if you aren't going to play!
Most importantly: remember this is a game. Play it for fun, and play it as well as you possibly can. I expect nothing less.
You'll note that a few are emphasized :x I don't want to have to blacklist somebody, but if it must be done... A player may be blacklisted for egregious violation of the rules or spirit of the game.
