One with nothing gets my vote, although Ore Gorger is up there too. Not that the ability in itself is terrible, its just any formats the use decent non-basics will never see an Ore Gorger.

Mountain + Chrome Mox + Desperate Ritual + Seething Song + Sneak Attack + Serra Avatar = Hilarious.

And without Desperate Ritual, it wouldn't work. It's a way to pull Seething Song on turn two, and with cheap arcanes is free mana fixing.

That said, it sucks, but plenty sucks worse.

I'm not so sure there is.. Putrid Imp does exactly the same thing for :b: and it's a creature. Only differences are you can play One With Nothing in response to stuff so they don't see it coming and it discards your whole hand at once.

molten sentry anyone? i pulled it as my first ravnica rare.. imagine after all the hype, the spoilers. its stupid, just stupid. as a common, okay, maybe. but a RARE? even if you get the better option its nothing worth the risk.

You do get something out of it... a coinflip.
That in and of itself gives it synergy with Chance Encounter.

Sure, it's not a great card, and there's far better and more synergistic cards than it, but it's hardly the worst card ever printed.

Nah Molten Sentry isn't bad, it's always useful in some way. At least it doesn't make you kill it when you lose the flip.

Stone-Seeder Hierophant. Yea, it costs a lot, but as long as you have lands to play it's 2 extra mana. Plus if you have the Rav common lands that tap for 2, that's 4 extra mana every turn.

1. Land, BoP.
2. Farseek, common Rav Land.
3. Stone-Seeder Hierophant
4. Tap everything for 5 mana, 2 more from Hierophant, play a land and get 3 more mana. That's 10 mana!

Then if you have 2 of the common Rav lands, they can keep returning eachother.

back in it's day it had it's 15 minutes of glory. now it's a joke, usless. we can cast 1, 2, 3 mana to deal 2, 3, 4 dmg. i mean come on, nowadays who wants to pay 8 mana to cast or 8 mana to deal 4 dmg.
