I can't draw on my own very well yet, but I copy things pretty well I think so i figured I might as well show them lol

I also have a black and white version of the Silver Seraph without the background, if anyone's interested in seeing it lol and i have other pictures too that aren't as strictly copied but I think these are the best :P . Comments?

How large are the originals? I would like to see the details, but these pics are a bit small. If you can - please post larger versions.
As of the current pictures it's kind of difficult to see details and stuff, but nice work on the colours.

I self taught myself to draw by copying a picture of the pokemon Gengar repeatedly... don't feel bad.
Highly cool!

Thanks :D the originals are a lot bigger than that, im not sure exactly but the dragon I did on a 9 x 12 piece of paper with 1/2" borders on 3 sides and in proportion to the actual picture on the magic card (which is what I copied it from) so it's probably about 8" by 8.~". I'll post the actual size when I get the chance :) probably Sunday or Monday :D .

Lol Gengar is like a circle and triangles. I can't really draw, but you saw what I did on Paint.

The black and white seraph is amazing! The lead looks soft and gives it a very unique look :).
The colours on Rith are PERFECT :).

Haha thanks, I used mechanical pencil for the angel actually lol and all my drawings when I start out. Eh the background on Rith isn't right though and I screwed up a lot of details but ah well.

That's incredible what you did with colored pencils. (Those ARE colored pencils, right?)
You undercut yourself, man, that kicks a substantial amount of backside!!

That they are lol but I know it could be better. And if only I could do even that without copying... lol. Ah well I'm working on it :P

Dude, it ain't that hard, I do all my drawings with mechanical pencils... No difference, really... >.>
By the way, Meleficient, don't feel bad. I usually draw from my head now, yes, but I started by copyting stuff. In fact, almost all artists start that way! I had to practice alot before I became anywhere good making stuff up and drawing it. There's still room for improvement, too! So don't think you're a bad artist!

Yea mechanical pencils are easier I think, always sharp when you need 'em to be and it's not really any harder to draw shading.
I know lol right now I'm putting like 8 different pictures together with some of my own stuff, and I have one of those done if anyone wanted to see though the person's face in it is completely ruined lol didn't realize it was that hard to color them :P bah practice makes perfect lol.

If you have a high quality copy machine you could copy the black & white picture and then colour the copy. This way you should avoid the way the penciled lines usually get blurry. You should at least try it out sometime.

That.. is a good idea, I'll have to do that for my next drawing :P lol.
