I was thinking about doing a mechanic called "Excavate."
Excavate X (Search your library for ~ and put it into your hand. Play this ability as a sorcery and only when ~ is in your library.)
So I guess an example would be:
Scree Lantern :1mana::r:
Instant
Scree Lantern deals 2 damage to target creature or player.
Excavate :2mana::r: (Search your library for Scree Lantern and put it into your hand. Play this ability as a sorcery and only when Scree Lantern is in your library.)
Is it worded right? Is it too powerful? Obviously, it would have to cost a bit, and the spell that has it would have to cost a little more than usual too.
