You'll need a boatload of Selesnya to keep the big guy happy. The first turn you only have to sacrifice one, but then sacing 2 and 3 and 4 creatures gets a little heavy. I have my doubts about the amount of play that guy will see.

Huge Fatty goes well with dovescape , nevertheless IMO Magic could have done better.

I was wondering in the MTG official site , when i noticed an article Bust Out the SOap , It's the Simic , (dunno if anyone has already noticed this but the last creature featured on it brings similarities to Coldsnap:

“Initially intrigued by a cold-blooded creature thriving in sub-zero environs, I found that my serpentine subject was even more fascinating than I had initially thought.”

“Further study revealed that the snake’s cardiovascular system was not poikilothermic. The snake’s vascular system courses with an antigelid liquid that keeps the creature warm in frigid climes. This liquid is also injected through the fangs into bitten victims, burning away the tissue of their fragile vascular tubules- resulting in a swift death. ”

This subject brought to me many questions, among them:

Is this been confirmed in ColdSnap.
Does this mean Poison counters will be back?

It hasn't been confirmed. It is pure speculation at this point. I've seen multiple theories on multiple websites about poison counters and different ways they may be used (lose 1 life at upkeep for each counter, stuff like that). For now, we don't know.

O, and by the way, Doubling Season wrecks every cumulative upkeep card :)

If the Phyrexian Big Fatty had any sort of evasion or stuff that made it hard to block in any way, it would have been cool and useful... Now, all I can think of is a Fling-deck.

There were already a few Phyrexian cards in Alliances.

I mean to our present time. How many time has passed since Alliances? Even the Invasion block for that matter... (Core sets don't count!)
