New Duals, Infernal Tutor, and Rakdos Anthem

Well, I've been absent from MDV for a while. So, I thought I'd contribute something and bring these pictures and descriptions over from MTGSalvation for us. I'm glad to see that Rumor Season is starting to pick up. And sources were not scared by the litte lawsuit that Wizards decided to put on the Elf. They're staying anonymous, but we are getting information.

I take these pictures as real. Because, usually, you can't get this faded effect through Photoshop. And they are about the same quality as the Guildpact cards we were getting from last season.

I hope you enjoy these new cards and the Rumor Season of Dissension. I'm glad to see that MDV has gotten quite the Rumor-loving population. And I want MDV to be up-to-date on the new information going around. Thanks to Ghurghs for keeping the Rumors accumulated. And, I'm not sure, but maybe I'll do an Exit 267 for Dissension. I know it goes against what I was saying... But I don't think it can possibly hurt to have an article about the recent rumors.

Well, I digress. And here is the information you have all been wanting...

To the left:

Rakdos Anthem - :2mana::b::r::r:
Enchantment - Rare
Each time a creature you control attacks, it gets +2/+0 until end of turn and Rakdos Anthem deals 1 damage to you.
Hellbent - As long as don't have any cards in you hand, if a source that you control would damage a creature or player, it deals twice the damage to the creature or player instead.

Infernal Tutor - :1mana::b:
Reveal a card from your hand. Search your library for a card with the same name as that card and put it into your hand. Then shuffle your library.
Hellbent - If you don't have any cards in your hand, search your library for a card and put it into your hand. Then shuffle your library.

Infernal Tutor is just the official "Empty Hand". Rakdos Anthem looks fun; we all secretly love Orcish Oriflamme and Furnace of Rath.

Breeding Pool looks hawt. My favorite Shockland art.

rakdos anthem is going to get some heavy use for sure. Hellbent, i guess now we all know why R&D made one with nothing

I don't think they made OWN just for the Rakdos mechanic, though it does work (kind of, there are still better options). I hope Rakdos at least has some graveyard fun :/ That uh 'person' in the center of Rakdos Anthem looks sweet though 8) lots of great art!

i dont think they'll reprint dark rit. standard doesn't need turn one hyppies, turn 2 gifts, turn 2 kokusho (it's possible!) and other such assorted nonsense.

Dark Ritual was banned from Extended. Wizards don't reprint banned cards. Maybe a weakened one or with some uber drawback. THE Dark Ritual certainly won't.


And the Azorious dual land has the best dual land art, and the Rakdos one isn't too bad either.

Just noting, you can swing with your creatures with cards in hand, taking 1 for each, then empty your hand (I hope there's a better way to do this than running 4x OWN in a deck... and BTW, using Char while this is here and Char is the last card in hand WILL double damage from Char. 8 to face?) before combat damage goes on the stack. Even better when your creatures themselves get a power boost from Hellbent.
