Slow rolls are awesome. People totally appreciate them and it really draws excitement. There's no scarcasm there (or is there - kinda hard to tell isn't it?).

So in the spirit of the recent slow rolls I'm slow rolling this Fit the Flavor Round. That's right you don't get everything today you just get the contest rules and a single flavor. Sometime soon and please do check often, we'll roll out the other flavors and the surprise twist (there's always a twist.) Enjoy!

Flavor #1: Brash and arrogant, his temper is only matched by his genius.

Flavor #2: As subtle as an axe in your skull.

Flavor #3: Sometimes a vision isn't meant to be understood.

The surprise twist: Each of these flavors are inspired by an MDV member. Get an extra 2.5 points by correctly guessing who your flavor is about.

Flavor #4: Do not sleep young one, for he will enter your dreams and you will never wake up.


Your cards will be judged on a set rubric out of 25.
/10 pts - Adherence to Flavor
/5 pts - Card Balance
/5 pts - Design Fundamentals
/5 pts - Creativity


Rules:
- You can choose which flavour text to use, but you can only submit one card.
- Make sure you specify which flavour text your card is based on.
- This thread is for submissions only. There will be a separate thread where you can freely discuss stuff regarding the contest.
- You can enter this contest even if you never participated in any of the previous rounds.
- Submit only text! No card rendering, no images, no links, and no mana-smilies. Use 2B rather than :2mana::b:.
- Use the new M10 wording on your submissions. If you're not sure how your card should be worded feel free ask in the discussion thread or in my shop (link in sig).
- Disrespect for these rules will result in assured disqualification.
- Deadline for entries is 9/15/2009. No additional time for editing your submissions will be granted.
- And most importantly - have fun!

(tap): Choose two target blocking creatures an opponent controls. If each of those creatures could block all creatures that the other is blocking, remove both of them from combat. Each one then blocks all creatures the other was blocking.

Surprise Twist: Ahh, this is almost an easy one. I have two people who immediately stood out as to who this flavor was about. However, assuming that I must pick one, I'm going to say SK (Sensei Kakashi for the uneducated). My other choice was undoubtedly Cashew himself.

Is that... Is that Sorrow's Path on a creature?! Why yes, yes it is... :D

Shiller gets +1/+1 for each card in your hand.

Hellbent - Shiller gets +X/+X, where X is your maximum hand size, as long as you have no cards in hand.

Plane - Kamigawa
Whenever a nontoken creature becomes tapped, it's controller discards a card then draws a card.
[Symbol] Whenever you roll a [Symbol], each player exiles their hand and draws seven cards.

I know I'm taking a risk by using a card type that doesn't have flavor text but the rules don't specifically disallow this course of action. I reference the wording of the secondary word to make my point:

"- Make sure you specify which flavor your card is based on."

Not uses, but based upon - Here's hoping this will slide.

Exxe and I have been leveling up new characters together and we are at only the 20 mark right now. I too am a Berserker though I will keep this quest in mind Thanks, Slushy
