so there's a pro tour qualifier in about a month in butler, pa...but it's a format i'm completely unfamiliar with: Team Constructed Tournament

hence...i have no idea what decks or strategies i should follow

i'm not sure if you're allowed to link...so if your not...lock this thread and people who want to help me can pm me...but here's the link to the tournament guidelines

http://www.professional-events.com/WotC%20...-Pit-043006.htm (http://www.professional-events.com/WotC%20Events/PTQ%20Charleston%2006/PTQ-Charleston-Pit-043006.htm)

i'm reading it...but it doesn't say what format to follow...as in what cards i'm allowed to use...but if any of you know me...if this is one where you're allowed to use any cards...i give myself a good chance of top 8-ing (especially with the weak metagame in the butler area)

another problem...i don't have a team...anyone interested in being my teammate?

either post on here or pm me and let me know what i should do about this debacle.

Well, it says standard, and I'm 99% sure that means type 2.

As for help in a team format, you really should find a partner that your comfortable with and can work alongside.

Once you have an idea on what the 2 of you want to play, then building the decks becomes much easier.

I'd love to be your partner, but I'm in Ontario with no way of getting there :(

Its Standard constructed, or Type 2. Teams have three members. Your three decks combined cannot have more than 4 copies of any one card, basic lands aside. Basically, if you took all three decks and stacked them on top of each other, the deck would still be legal to play.

Each player on your team has a letter assigment (A,B,or C) your A player will always play the A player on the other team. Each member plays a best 2 of 3 match. The winning team is the team that wins 2 of 3 matches. (IE 2 of my guys won and only one of your guys won, so we win the round).

This format is replacing the team limited format for this year's PT season.
