I'm going to update the forum to the most recent version, and then install those hacks. Be a day or two at most.

List of Updates:

- Upgraded forums to 2.0.19
- Dropdown for colors fixed
- Card tags fixed
- [hide] tags added
- BBcode Button organizer added

Right now, I'm backing up the forum and getting ready to start adding the subforums... It'll be about a 3 hour process, but you shouldn't experience much, if any, downtime. :)

A heartly welome here, this seems to improve things now. Finally, Streez long journey for a techie has come to an end. And a happy end at that, it seems. :yourock: Not that I have a clue of WHAT EXACTLY you are doing. But we all have trust in your ability, you have proven some things already.

Hard work is always appreciated, especially from volunteers.

But since I, as i mentioned, have about NO clue what these changes meens to the standard-users, I would appreciate it if you would inform us about these changes and how we can use it, in, say, maybe a sticky thread in the "Magic Deck Vortex"-Forum. Or does anything like that already exist?

Although i FEEL that a "BBcode button organizer" is a good thing, what the heck does is do? :?:

Okay, here's a more comprehensive summary :P

* Forums Upgraded from version 2.0.17 to 2.0.19. No major changes - mostly database and security updates.

* Fixing of color dropdown menu. When making a new post, you can now use the "Font Colour" dropdown box to change the color of a selection of text. This was the case prior, but when the card tags were first added, a conflict occurred that interfered with the dropdown box's ability to work. It works flawlessly now.

* Card tag button is working again. For a short while, when the forum software was updated, it was not. Problem was remedied pretty quickly.

* The long awaited [spoiler] tags are now here! For any questions regarding them, please look here (http://magicdeckvortex.com/phpBB/faq.php?mode=bbcode#4).

* A BBCode Button Organizer was added. When I have this working all the way, it will allow us to neatly parse the BBcode buttons in the posting screen so that all buttons past the [URL] button will join a new line(s). This is purely an aesthetic modification.

Over the course of the day, I will be adding subforums. When I do this, if you notice any mods/hacks/BBcodes to be not working, just post here explaining the issue you observed in detail. With luck, this mod will go as smoothly as the ones I've already done and we won't have hardly any issues.

Small update: The hover-over Tips on how a tag is used (found inside the posting screen, under the dropdown menus while the mouse is hovering over a BBCode button) for the Spoiler tag is working now.

Mod tags are only usable by the mods. Anything inside mod tags can't be edited by non-mods. (so if we give a warning you can't delete it)

I had to reconfigure the entire site to do it though, so all the hacks are temporarily gone. Couple hours tops, and everything will be be back like it was.

If I may suggest something, I liked the old format where you could see when someone had posted a new message in a topic because it was brighter than ones that were old. If you can do that it would be great because I don't like it as it is right now.

EDIT: never mind that; can we have the old site back? I don't like this at all...

The Sub-forums, and reinstalling pretty much everything else.

Sub-forums are forums that are inside of other forums. So there would be the general "Tournament Deck" forum, then there could be seperate forums for T2, Extended, Vintage...etc

No. Like you click on the tourney deck forum. Then once inside that forum, you can go to different forums.
For an example, go Here (http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/forumdisplay.php?f=20)

They have the standard discussion forum, but then they have other forums for discussion of competative decks, critique, and articles.

Guys, please be patient for a minute... I'm hard at work getting everything restored - but it's a long process:

- You will be able to see your private forums soon. There are a few more important things for me to attend to FIRST.

- This skin is only temporary. I am currently working on bringing back the bluetabs skin.

- Hacks are gone temporarily. Once the skin issue is fixed, and the user permissions are set close to about perfect, I'll put these back in.

Just bear with me guys. All the changes should be done by tonight, and the forum will work just like it did before, with some new features. :)

EDIT - ACTUALLY, the old skin is back up now. ;) You can grovel later :P

Though, if you could add a "light green" color I would be very grateful because the only downside to this skin is that the green is a tad dark.

Wow! This site update is zamazing. I was wondering what was happening at first when I tried to log in earlier today and got a message similar to...

I definitely like the new layout and sub-forums should be pretty awesome. I'll be patient and let the techie work his magic. I know it was a lot of work on his part, and I'm very grateful. As he said, colors and skins are pretty minor compared to the code for sub-forums and the like.

Hopefully, we'll be seeing a new, revived forums sometime later this weekend. Thanks again to BB, Streetz, Mods, etc. who are working on this. Looks nice. 8)

Alright, Quick Reply should have all the buttons and other functions the regular posting screen does now. :)

Also, in your User Control Panel, you can change it so that the Quick Reply auto-opens whenever you load a thread.

hello, i noticed that the time wich is shown on the site is not correct for me.
It was correct until a few weeks ago when the time changed from winter to summer time. Now it is for example 3:47pm on the site but here ( in Belgium) it is now 4:47pm. I don't know if you can swith the time for every different country. this is maybe not the most important mistake of the site but I just wanted to say it.
