The rules of EDH
If you are unfamaliar with EDH...its a format that has you pick one legendary creature as your general. All of the rest of your cards have to share a color with the general or be colorless (artifacts). (NOTE: If my general is blue and red, I can't have a black and red creature.) If someone would generate mana of a different color (say you sacrifice Composite Golem, it adds the color(s) of your general and the rest is added as colorless mana. Decks are 100 cards (99 plus a general) with every card but basic lands being restricted (IE: You can only have one copy of any given card in your deck. Yes, even Relentless Rats.
Your general starts the game removed from the game. You may play it as though it were in your hand, but doesn't count as being in your hand for any circumstances. If it would be put into any zone other than in play, remove it from the game instead. You may replay it, but add (2) to the casting cost for each time you've already played it. (Think of it as kind of a weird cumulative upkeep cost.)
Each player starts at 40 life. You lose when your life equals zero, or your opponent's general has done 21 points of damage to you (this is from the original variant that used the Elder Dragons...Nicol Bolas and the rest...it was equal to 3 hits.)
There are no sideboards.
I think thats it. If I forgot anything someone please let me know.
Random note: There are 222 legendary creatures currently in extended, so you've got enough to chose from.
League Rule An EDH "League" consists of a regular group of players who frequently play together using the same decks. No two players in a league game may have the same General. Within a given league, Generals are allocated first-come, first-serve and are preserved between meetings/games. No player may have, in his or her deck, the General of any other player in the game;
