MDV Legacy Pairings/Results Round 3 pairings post 51

Alright everyone...the first official tournament of the MDV League is open for registration. The format will be Legacy.

The entry fee will be 10 Texens, with payout determined by number of entries. The tournament will be Swiss, with rounds and cut also determined by number of entries.

Because this is the first tournament and I haven't posted how to sign up for the league yet, if you enter this tournament you will automatically be entered into the league with 90 Texens (you start at 100, minus 10 for the entry).

Important: You are not officially in the tournament until you submit your deck code. Simply saying /in does not mean you're playing. If the deadline comes and I don't have a code from you, you don't go in the pairings. to enter send me a PM with your deck security code.

Deadline is one week from today: September 8th @ Noon. Pairings will go up sometime that afternoon.

As the TO and having only seen one decklist four the tournament, I think I'm OK morally doing this...

My tips are this: If you opponent is playing blue he has Force of Will. Not maybe has it, he has it. Especially on MWS, where you don't actually have to buy it.

The format can be fairly quick but that isn't always the case. Force of Will, Chalice, and Trinisphere help slow it down if you can stick them.

But because it is legacy City of Traitors and Ancient Tomb speed things up nicely.

As far as decks actually go, UGw Threshold used to be the best in the format, and many will argue that it still is. Goblins has always been good, affinity is good, there are a couple storm based decks that do well also.

As far as decks that are netdecks (so you don't have to worry about having to build your own deck in a few days) but won't get you killed in casual circles for playing them...mono red burn is popular, Angel Stompy or Death and Taxes (two different forms of white weenie) are certainly playable.
