Since we have threads for newer and upcoming games (MGS 4, Fable 2, SC 4), why not post something about older games?
This is where we can discuss Morrowind. One of my favorite games! What are some of your characters? Feel free to post screenshots. What factions have you joined? Have you killed Dagoth Ur? Do you have the GOTY version?
Discuss!

Yay for a Morrowind thread !! XD
This is one of my all time favourite games (tied with Civilization II) !!
Referring to my post in the "Rant thread", I've never finished a game... so, needless to say I never fought Dagoth Ur ^^
I don't play Morrowind anymore, so no screenshots :( (Maybe I should ? I hear there are excellent patches running on the net, due to a strong community prefering the complex M. over Oblivion...)
I don't remember the characters I played... (Oblivion came up in the meantime) I believe there were at least some pure wizard builds and a few nightblades (stealth skills + a few magical ones... probably Alteration, Mysticism and Restoration for the major skils), since those are the ones I enjoy the most in the Elder Scrolls series :)
Do you play Morrowind currently DA ? What's your character ?
Are you already a semi-god or will you have to wait for a few more levels ?

Yes, I am currently playing. I have a pretty godly character.
I am Grandmaster of the Morag Tong, and am working on becoming the head of House Hlaalu. I love this game.

I get stuck in the little far of the beginning scene "The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind" was a hard game to play.

I loved this game until I accidentlely broke my Morag Tong-quest by misplacing some poisonous object and thus could not poison a target, which made me not able to advance. I also accidentlely visited that weird guy without a shirt from the Blades while a vampire, when I then got cured (not by a dentist) he was still quite mad. It made the main quest difficult to continue...

Woot I just became Grandmaster of House Hlaalu!
'twas not that hard really...

Congrats, DA ;)
Yawgmoth, I believe you can start again, involving yourself in different factions... The game is broad enough to play different characters...
Due to this thread, I've felt compelled to re-install Morrowind on my computer :D I don't know yet what to play, though...
Maybe I'll try a Monk-style character or again a Nightblade style...
The skills system is sooooo tricky, I'm condifent I'll make the wrong decisions XD

Don't be silly! There is no such thing as a wrong decision in Morrowind!
Unless of course, you kill someone important to the main quest and create some sort of time paradox or something. >_<

There are no wrong decisions ingame, that's right :)
I should've said suboptimal choices in the major/minor skills (to ensure a high progression in stats at each level, and not just 2-3 points).
I've choosen:
// Race
Breton (+50% mana)
// Sign
The Apprentice (+150% mana)
// Speciality
Magic
// Favorite Attributes
Luck
Endurance
// Major Skills
Long Blade (Strength)
Heavy Armor (Endurance)
Destruction (Willpower)
Illusion (Personnality)
Sneak (Agility)
// Minor Skills
Enchant (Intelligence)
Restoration (Willpower)
Block (Agility)
Marksman (Agility)
Security (Intelligence)
I'm happy, level 4, my Strength is rising a bit... I can't wear a full heavy armor yet (too heavy XD ... I don't wear bows and arrows either for that reason... :paranoid:) but I've got good hopes :)
I've been to the Mages Guild and the "Imperial Temple/Office" (I can't remember the name...), but I'm mostly looting caves for now XD

Protip: Raise Endurance to 100 ASAP, as it is what effects your HP (The only Stat that does so).

I will post my character when I play next. Which more than likely will be later on today or tonight...

And who hasn't done that at least once. But you forgot a couple:
1) going to Red Mountain at a level less then 25
2) jumping into a pool of lava
3) wearing Indoril Armor then talking to an Ordinator
4) attempting to kill Vivec. <-- lol, I don't see why you would attempt this before you are level 50 or above. He's harder to kill then Dagoth Ur is.
You N'Wah!!! Die Fetcher!!! Filthy S'Wit!!! lmao
Don't double post, don't spam, and don't necro threads.

i nvere played a character with any higher as light armour, since i needed all my weight allowance to carry around loot. i think ive stolen entire towns, and made about every merchant run out of money.

Funny enough, i was just looking for my copy of this today.
I just recently reinstalled oblivion till i find morrowind.
Usually, i play some sort of warrior/thief hybrd (bow+arrow/Longsword/Heavy Armor/Sneak Security/ Destruction / Alteration skills)
I really havnt sat down and done the quests. I usually just go hunting around random areas. I'm pretty sure my one save is a mass genocide of the world, with everyone dead.
If i find it again, im gonna start the main quest for once XD

This post convinced me also to reinstall Morrownid XD Thanks a lot. More mindless hours wasted in front of a computer screen was all I needed. But it's soooo goood :wowsers:
