Hi. Welcome to ThunderHog's House of Cardz! If you're reading this thread, that means you are interested in learning about one of MDV's greatest game series. It's a deck-building challenge that forces you to awaken your inner Johnny and focus in into a single theme. If you're interested in testing your deck-building abilities against the other members of this forum, then this is the place to do it!
First, the rules. Please note that there is usually new and separate rules attacked to each round, but these are the basics:
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
***Rules***
1. You may only use cards which are legal in Extended play. (Invasion and up)
2. You may NOT use cards that are on this rounds banned list.
3. Any form of net-decking WILL be rejected. A net-deck will be determined by me.
4. Sideboards are perfectly legal. Feel free to include a 15 card sideboard. 15 cards - no more, no less.
5. In the case of a draw during a specific game, the player who initiated the draw loses.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
***Game-Play***
- Games and winners will be decided EXACTLY like how tournament-style magic is. Players will be put into brackets at random and then decks will be played against one another. If there is an odd number of players, bye-rounds are likely possible.
- Winners will go best 2 out of 3. If/when you're deck loses, you're out.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
***Point System***
Point systems have been erased. From now on the winner’s name for a round will simply go on the hall of fame.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
With that said, here is the current Hall of Fame:
Round 1 (Tribal) - Battlemaster
Round 2 (Guilds of Ravnica) - Oblivion
Round 3 (Alt-Win) - ThunderHog
Round 4 (Keywords) - ThunderHog
Round 5 (2/3 Type) - Dragon
Round 6 (Tribal - Humans) - Cashew
Round 7 (Limited Edition) - Dazboot
Round 8 (2v2) - ThunderHog & FrycHiKn

Just for the hell of it, let's do a quick Q&A!
Q: Is this to be played on MWS?
A: Yes. The submitted decks are to be played using MWS and may be played by either myself, GG Crono, AlasterEisaroh, or the person who's deck it represents.
5/16/2008: The above rule has been changed.
Q: Assuming the owner doesn't want to or can't play their own deck, who do you play the decks with? Yourself?
A: Nope. That would give me knowledge of the opposing player's hand. While both players DO have knowledge of the other's deck, they do NOT have knowledge of the other's hand. I play the decks against GG Crono or the person that the respective deck belongs too.
Q: Assuming the owner doesn't want to or can't play their own deck, how do you decide who plays which deck?
A: We usually pick which deck appeals to us more. If we can't choose, or we both want to use the same deck, we flip a coin or choose by some other means.
Q: Do certain deck receive advantages depending on who's using them?
A: Nah, I'm pretty sure we're all equally competent. If I thought that any one of us was much better at the game than the other, I would've picked someone else to do this with by now. Both of us have about an equal amount of experience and we're all Johnny players at heart.
NOTE: 8/23/2008, all of the rules thave been edited to include 'AlasterEisaroh' as a noted helper of HoC and is permitted to play out the decks.
