Hey guys. You know I'm not good on the whole "formal" thing, so this is about as good as it's going to get as far as an instruction manual is concerned.
What is MtG:RPG?
MtG:RPG is a relatively new Magic variant developed by Abe Sargent of Star City Games. It takes the normal game and adds in several new elements that are taken from various role playing game sources.
How do you play?

How can I sign up and start playing?
To join the league, simply post your first character in proper format on the Character Creation thread. This serves as the hub for your character profile, which means that you can use it to see who else is open for challenge. To create your first character, I suggest checking the Skills and Traits list (http://magicdeckvortex.com/vbforums/showthread.php?p=185886#post185886).
Is there a limit to how much I can play?
Yeah. In order to avoid two players playing all day and ramping each other up to extreme levels, there is a limit of 3 games per opponent per day. This means that each day Tom can play Dick and Harry each 3 times, but he can't play either of them 4. Get it?
How can I know who's available?
Some people post times when they're most likely to be up for a game on their character page. If that's not the case, you can send challenges to another player via PM. Just mention it's about this in the title.
I've been playing for a while, but I've kinda cornered myself in what I can play. Can I have multiple characters?
Yes. Currently you can have two characters at a time. If you want to create a third, you also have the option of erasing one of your current two and starting fresh.
I have a friend who's interested in joining but isn't a member of MDV. Is that OK?
The more the merrier! Who knows, maybe once they create an account they'll look at the rest of the forum, eh?
Is there anything else I should know?
Yeah, here are some additional rules:
1. Spamming in general is a bad practice, but the character roster in particular is for character pages only. Any other discussion will be deleted. We have a whole forum to chit chat in, so it shouldn't be too tough.
2. We're role playing on a forum, not trying to win a PTQ. Keep it casual, and don't whine. This is only a game.
3. If there are anything else that isn't covered here, send a PM my way. I'm on MDV daily as long as I have home internet access, so you'll usually get your answer in a timely manner.
