we all did... Streetz and I, and most others saw a redirection that wasn't suppose to happen by what ever other means... for me it looked like...
MVD -> vbfourms/index.php
www.google.com
www.google-counter.com
Done!
and it was a white screen with three characters on it (several people had a different result)
luckily, it's been solved by BB... I'm still wondering the exacts of the problem and fix, but I'm fine knowing the forums are back...

Basically, the version of vBulletin was a little old and there was an exploit being manipulated that resulted in our host disabling a certain feature required for vBulletin. We've upgraded vBulletin to current and the host re-enabled this feature. All is well now.
I got a screen with a ( in the corner, haha. But i emailed Streetz about it so it wasnt that torturous for me, i played MK: Shaolin monks instead :)

My Host also removed the problem in Apache that was part of the exploit. Thanks BB and my host. :D

Sure was convenient that BB returned to the forum just before this happened. Almost too convenient. :paranoid:

I joked to Streetz over instant message that since everyone saw a different symbol maybe there was some cryptic code or something. I personally saw a "{"

lol! Yes a conspiracy, quick everyone post what you saw!
Anyways, i got uh...[]<[] as well, like Streetz...
And i too was worried that the forums would be done again for like a week, that would really suck, but doesn't make a diff cuz i have final exams next week anyways! But it's good the forums are back up.
How long did it last? After the first few tries i simply hung out at the other fourms i go to and then i checked back later in the day and it was good...
