If I have [card:65c29b5346]Humility[/card:65c29b5346] in play, can I still pay kicker costs on creatures? If I do, do they have any effect?

Yes. Humility doesn't start effecting creature cards until they hit play; kicker is something you do as you play the creature spell.

...I'm not sure. I know the Emissaries (and others like Kangee that say "when ~this~ comes into play") won't work - they don't have thier comes-into-play abilities when they get into play - but I'm not sure how +1/+1 counters interact with Humility, or whether the 'volvers would get thier extra abilities.

[card:e03c337b04]Anavolver[/card:e03c337b04]
Kicker 1U and/or B
If the 1U kicker cost was paid, Anavolver comes into play with two +1/+1 counters on it and with flying.
If the B kicker cost was paid, Anavolver comes into play with a +1/+1 counter on it and with “Pay 3 life: Regenerate Anavolver.”
3/3

If you pay the kicker costs, it comes into play with the counters, but once in play, the abilities are lost due to Humility.

You apply power/toughness changing effects in a series of sublayers in the following order: (a) effects from characteristic-setting abilities; (B) all other effects not specifically applied in c, d, or e; © changes from counters; (d) effects from static abilities that modify power and/or toughness but don't set power and/or toughness to a specific number or value; and (e) effects that switch a creature's power and toughness, so you'll always apply this card at b.

Since the +1/+1 counters are applied at c, the counters will have their effect. If you pay all the kickers for Anavolver, for example, it would be a 4/4 with Humility in play.

Humility/GloriousAnthem???

Humility and a glorious anthem is a time stamp issue. Whichever comes first is negated by the second. So, if a humility is in play and a player puts down an anthem, his creatures become 1/2s. If a glorious is in play and a player puts down a humility, then all creatures become 0/1s.

(look under "official rulings")
You apply power/toughness changing effects in a series of sublayers in the following order: (a) effects from characteristic-setting abilities; (B) all other effects not specifically applied in c, d, or e; © changes from counters; (d) effects from static abilities that modify power and/or toughness but don't set power and/or toughness to a specific number or value; and (e) effects that switch a creature's power and toughness, so you'll always apply this card at b.

[card:52f8de543e]Glorious Anthem[/card:52f8de543e] has a static ability that modifies power/toughness but doesn't set them to specific numbers (the way [card:52f8de543e]Sorceress Queen[/card:52f8de543e] does, for example). It is therefore applied in layer (d). Humility is applied in layer (B).

Therefore, if Humility is in play and you have a Glourious Anthem, your creatures are 2/2s. This does not depend on which enchantment came into play first.

Wait, I thought humility was on the same layer as glorious... whoops. Thanks for clearing that up. Not to mention I forgot humility makes 1/1s, not 0/1s... whoops again.

So, turn 3 anthem, turn 4 humility works pretty well?

What about [card:33d8191f96]Sword of Fire and Ice[/card:33d8191f96] ? With humility

The sword isn't affected by Humility. You still get a 3/3 with PfUaR and the ability because it says 'when equipped creature', not 'equipped creature gains'.

Actually the Protection from Red and Blue depends on timestamp.

But really if you cared you could just move the sword a few times.
