Well, things aren't going to great here. Along with my parents being strict that I should only be on Magic during the weekends, I keep getting distracted when I start writing an article. So, I have an announcement to make, and it is that I won't be continuing the Exit 267 articles for Dissension.
I've found that it often takes way to much of my spare time to keep these articles running. And also, it takes away from the time that I could actually be contributing to getting rumors. The first series of E267 were fine, because it was about Ravnica, and I was doing them in the summer. But now that the school year has arrived, I doubt I will be able to keep up the quality of my articles.
I should be able to start up again once the Summer arrives. But as it stands right now, I'm not guaranteeing anything. If anyone wishes to take over the spot as the "Rumor Writer," in Dissension, just give me a PM or post it in this thread. I'd love to see the rumor articles continue, since I know they are very helpful, but I simply cannot do it any longer.
I apologize to any of the big fans of the E267 articles that I am stopping. But with the rate of the Rumor Season, I'm having to try and collect all the information too quickly. And by the time I would be able to write a decent article, it has already flown by. "We knew that 2 weeks ago. This article sucks."
But there is an upside to this quitting, and that is that it will make time for other articles. I will have more time to collab. with Tynion on the ITP series, and also I wanted to request if I could possibly start on a fundamentals article. I'm not sure how good I'll be at it yet, but it's worth a try, since I like writing about the strategy of the game.
As for E267 in Guildpact, I'm still not sure that I'll be able to get done in time. There is 1 week remaining until pre-releases, and that is when the rumor season pretty much dies, because Gatherer starts to display the complete spoiler. If I can produce a decent article by that time, trust me I will. But don't be upset if you see no more E267 articles from here on out. Like I said, I'm really sorry about this quitting and to all my fans who anticipate a rumor article weekly.
And finally to Streetz: I'm really sorry if I'm messing up the article schedule. But like I said, I wanted to see if I could start a fundamentals/philosophy article, to take the place of the rumor articles possibly. Just let me know whether you think this is a good idea or not, and I'll try to get started. Since a lot of this knowledge is based on my own feelings/thoughts about the game, it will require a lot less research and time on my part. Not trying to sound selfish or anything, I just mean that I can probably spit out more of these articles in the time it takes me to write 1 E267 article.
