I would like to spotlight the articles of MDV and I need your help. Particularly, I would like to spotlight the writers.

Here I ask that each of you nominate two of your favorite articles from 2005. For a list of the articles from 2005, please go here:

http://www.magicdeckvortex.com/articles_archives.htm

Once the nominations are made, I will post a poll on the main site that everyone can vote on. The best articles of 2005 will be reposted.

Rules:
Please only post your nominations - to keep this thread nice and orderly.

Bold your votes (almost like Mafia). At the end, I will tally up the top 10 - I will decide on any tie breakers. Then.. the website visitors vote on them.

You can nominate your own article. Although, I don't encourage it. You cannot nominate the same article twice.

Nominate one or two articles. No more.

Any 'spam' like posts will be deleted.

....

My nominations:

Memories of an Old Magic Player: A Perspective on the History of Magic - Part 1: The Black Summer

My nomination goes to:

ANY OF THE RAIDING THE DOLLAR BIN-DEATH_BY_BEEBLES

these articles have made me think more and build better decks. Hes allowed me to look at my collecting in a new way, and has created a big stir at my clubs meetings. Now when I go to trade with my friends they are always wondering whats going on in my head. Till I smack'em with something they thought was worthless. The competions he creates are a great idea, even though it creates more work on his part.
MUCHO THANKS BEEBLES!!!!!!!!!

OK. MAKE THAT...PLANNED EFFORTS/RAIDING THE DOLLAR BIN-DEATH BY BEEBLES.

Counter Magic by Chris Newton
Part 1: The Black Summer Memories of an Old Magic Player: A Perspective on the History of Magic by Chris Newton

Niv-Mizzet likes this guy's style. Chris taught Niv-Mizzet not to fry every insignificant thing comeing after me with the counter magic article. and the black summer article is important to teach newer players the horror of the past and how things can go to far

Please be more specific - if anything... just choose two random articles. :) Thanks.

Thank you Niv-Mizzet. I always love to hear positive comments about my writings

I want to nominate (even though Streetz already mentioned it):

Card Spotlight: Wrath of God (it inspired my Counter Magic article)

and

I don't know yet! Will add a second one later!

Chris Newton

It did. I scrapped the idea since not many people really seemed very interested in the concept. If an opportunity arised, I will choose what articles get reposted in 2006.

Oh well, right.

lol...

you know, this is purely because I live in Cleveland. In true flavor of all the sporting failures over the years, the Drive, The Fumble, The Shot, Jose Mesa in the World Series, and the nearest relative to this.. when the Indians were the best team in Baseball, and they canceled the season just before the World Series.

I had two articles nominated, which gave me pretty good odds of taking home the title belt, and suddenly...

nothing.

LOL

Can I atleast look at the belt before you melt it down? Or may be I can request it to be melted down and fashioned into a necklace like they did The Undertaker's Urn?

too funny :)
