Splicing Ritual :b:
Sorcery {R}
As an additional cost to play Splicing Ritual, sacrifice a permanent.
Search your library for a permanent that shares a card type with the sacrificed permanent and put into your hand. Then shuffle your library.
I know by rights it should be Spicing "Tutor", but Ritual had a better ring to it.
Eye of the Devolute :r:
Enchantment {R}
Sacrifice Eye of the Devolute: Eye of the Devolute deals 2 damage to target creature or player.
At the end of each turn, if Eye of the Devolute is in your graveyard, you may return it to your hand.
Is this as broken as I think it is? To me it looks like a unstoppable 10 turn clock.
Soul Grove :g:
Instant {C}
Until end of turn, creatures you control are forests.
Mostly I wonder if I should bump up rarity.

Ya, just a little on the broken side. This lets combo decks that need like artifacts or specific creature go off much, much earlier

Yes, it is a broken as you think it is.

Are they still creatures. There is some serious rules confusion with this card.

Alright, I changed the Eye and added reminder text to Soul Grove. I kinda want to keep Ritual as is, but we'll see. If it's way to good it'll change.
Eye of the Devolute :r:
Enchantment {R}
Sacrifice Eye of the Devolute: Eye of the Devolute deals 2 damage to target creature or player.
At the end of each turn, if Eye of the Devolute is in your graveyard, you may pay :2mana::r:. If you do, return it to your hand.
Soul Grove :g:
Instant {C}
Until end of turn, creatures you control are forests. (They are no longer creatures. You may tap them to produce :g:.)

Soul Grove should probably have the reminder text of: (They are no longer creatures and have ":tap:: Add :g: to your mana pool.") (kind off like the new dual lands in Ravnica)
Also the Eye of the Devolute is insane :shock: Like an super-version of the Hammer of Bogardan! Maybe change the mana cost to :1mana::r:?

Eye of the Devolute should cost :1mana::r: and recur for :1mana::r::r:.

Eye of the Devolute should be RR mana cost and 1RR recursion.
Soul Grove should read "Creatures you control become Forests until end of turn.They are no longer creatures and have "T:Add one G to your mana pool."
And Splicing Ritual should read "As an additional cost to playing Splicing Ritual, sacrifice a permanent. Search your library for a card that shares a color with the sacrificed permanent, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Then shuffle your library."

Eye of the Devolute should have an added effect of " :3mana: : Eye of the Devolute can not be sacraficed this turn, any play may use this ability." So it doesn't become a "sadistic killing machine" ;)

And Splicing Ritual should read "As an additional cost to playing Splicing Ritual, sacrifice a permanent. Search your library for a card that shares a color with the sacrificed permanent, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Then shuffle your library."
Except thats a completely different effect. Splicing Ritual as is is 'sac a creature, find a creature, sac an artifact, find an artifact, etc.'

Either way it should be revealed so your opponent knows you're not cheating.

SOrry, it isn't. Read it. "sacrifice a {b]permanent[/b]. Find a card sharing a type with it. Therefore, you must reveal it. Unlike demonic tutor, which searches for anything, this searches for a card that meets a certain criteria. It must be revealed in ordeer to ensure play remains fair.

I think you need to read it. You said 'search your library for a card that shares a color with the sacrificed permanent', not type.
