I really don't understand what this card is doing here :P. I mean, it's a 7 mana for a 6/6 and it's BLUE! I just can't think of any reason why I should run this card at all :P.

And the most confusing thing is that for a creature that totally does not fit into Blue's theme, he's been in 7th, 8th, and 9th ed! I mean, if they had stopped printing Vizzerdrix since 7th ed, that'd make sense (since they would have realised it was a foolish mistake :P), but why did they keep him in the following core sets? At least Tidal Kraken (despite also being a fatty) 'feels' more blue because of Blue's distinctive Unblockable evasion ability.

I see it there because it is the base set. Base set is for beginners. The base set also pushes basic creatures more than anything else. Also, the blue-white deck that comes with the starter game (or at least used to, I haven't bought one in a while) needed the 'drix to win. Otherwise the B/R/G deck just went Hasty Goblin, Moon Sprite, Coercion, Lava Axe, Trained Orgg, gg. THe only way it could be stopped was with the Vizzerdrix to take on the Orgg.

Other than that, its a good 'ole big beater. Core sets need a big 'ole beater :)
