Ok, here's the decklist I came up with as as rough draft:
13 [card:8e89c3951c]Swamp[/card:8e89c3951c]
4 [card:8e89c3951c]Bayou[/card:8e89c3951c]
2 [card:8e89c3951c]Overgrown Tomb[/card:8e89c3951c]
3 [card:8e89c3951c]Cabal Coffers[/card:8e89c3951c]

4 [card:8e89c3951c]Hypnotic Specter[/card:8e89c3951c]
1 [card:8e89c3951c]Kagemaro, First to Suffer[/card:8e89c3951c]

4 [card:8e89c3951c]Dark Ritual[/card:8e89c3951c]
4 [card:8e89c3951c]Hymn to Tourach[/card:8e89c3951c]
4 [card:8e89c3951c]Corrupt[/card:8e89c3951c]
4 [card:8e89c3951c]Drain Life[/card:8e89c3951c]
4 [card:8e89c3951c]Rend Flesh[/card:8e89c3951c]
4 [card:8e89c3951c]Devour in Shadow[/card:8e89c3951c]
3 [card:8e89c3951c]Diabolic Tutor[/card:8e89c3951c] (maybe 2 Diabolic and 1 Demonic)
3 [card:8e89c3951c]Heartbeat of Spring[/card:8e89c3951c]
2 [card:8e89c3951c]Insidious Dreams[/card:8e89c3951c]
1 [card:8e89c3951c]Necro[/card:8e89c3951c]

So the main combo is Cabal Coffers + Heartbeat of Spring + Drain Life. As I said in Rulings, I drained a guy for 22 the other night.
What I want: Better creature removal. Maybe better tutoring. I've been thinking about Consultation.
What I don't want: Suggestions for Mox Jet or Black Lotus. While I'm willing to pay a decent amount for this deck (although I've already got most of the cards), I won't go that high. Yes, this is T1 and they are legal, but I am probably going to build this deck, and I want something with a more reasonable price. 6 Duals is pricey enough (luckily I've got a few).

So what do you think? Is it horrible, great, somewhere in the middle?

So how does it do against FCG? Landstill? Gift control? Any playtesting result?

Sorry about the lack of other info. I posted that quickly before I had to run to work. Anyway, I got two playtest games in on Thursday:
G1 vs. Mono-B Land Destruction
I was on the draw, and started with three lands, ritual, and hippie (the important cards). He went land, go, so I dropped Swamp, ritual, hippie. I drew my 4th land, a Bayou. Hippie met a Cruel Edict next turn. Next turn I played a Swamp, go. He made a turn 3 hippie of his own. I devoured it. Turn 3 saw no play from me other than dropping Bayou. That was a mistake as it got wastelanded next turn. Turn 4 saw me play swamp number 3, and pass. I had stopped drawing lands. Things got worse as he resolved a Crucible of Worlds, played Strip Mine, and just started recurring that, killing off all of my lands.

Results: Good start with the rit. hippie play, but a land drought late in the game killed me.

G2 vs. Pentavus Doubling Season
This was a weird deck, because the only card I saw that wasn't extended legal was Skullclamp (I don't get why its not even restricted in Vintage but banned in Legacy). I Hymned him turn two to hit a Forest and Clamp. Hippie showed up turn three, and got in some beats. Luckily my deck didn't get mana screwed this time, and by the time he got Pentavus out, I had my combo all set up, and resolved a drain for 22 (although he was only at nine or something like that).

Results: My deck went off the way it is supposed to, but the deck I was playing aginst wan't even tier 2 for type 1.

Probably need to try to make the win condition available as fast as possible, so you should include some land fetching cards. Also include some cards that have synergy with the swamp theme. Most T1 decks are light on creatures, have ways of removing targets, or use creatures that are not targetable, so the creature removal should be the non-targeting kind.

Creature removal: [card:8ee70efc75]Diabolic Edict[/card:8ee70efc75], [card:8ee70efc75]Mutilate[/card:8ee70efc75] (goes with the Swamp theme)
Tutors: [card:8ee70efc75]Vampiric Tutor[/card:8ee70efc75], [card:8ee70efc75]Demonic Tutor[/card:8ee70efc75]
Lands: [card:8ee70efc75]Polluted Delta[/card:8ee70efc75] or [card:8ee70efc75]Bloodstained Mire[/card:8ee70efc75] (thins the deck and can fetch green sources when needed)
Creatures that fit the swamp theme better than Kagemaro: [card:8ee70efc75]Nightmare[/card:8ee70efc75], [card:8ee70efc75]Dakmor Sorceress[/card:8ee70efc75], [card:8ee70efc75]Sima Yi, Wei Field Marshal[/card:8ee70efc75], [card:8ee70efc75]Dross Golem[/card:8ee70efc75]
Mana Acceleration: [card:8ee70efc75]Bubbling Muck[/card:8ee70efc75], [card:8ee70efc75]Land Grant[/card:8ee70efc75], [card:8ee70efc75]Sakura-Tribe Elder[/card:8ee70efc75], [card:8ee70efc75]Sylvan Scrying[/card:8ee70efc75] (Tutor for Cabal Coffers), One [card:8ee70efc75]with Nature[/card:8ee70efc75] (probably not good with so few creatures, but could accelerate number of swamps in play).
Discard: [card:8ee70efc75]Mind Twist[/card:8ee70efc75], [card:8ee70efc75]Duress[/card:8ee70efc75]
Broken: [card:8ee70efc75]Yawgmoth's Will[/card:8ee70efc75]

I hope this gives you some ideas, good luck.
