Contest Announcement.
10/22/07 - The journey to this contest actually began a couple months
ago. A goofy little card called Tarmogoyf was released in Future Sight.
A single, simple little word included in the reminder text unleashed the
largest rumor mill Magic has probably ever seen. It couldn't have been
any smaller - just the inclusion of the word "planeswalker" as a card
type – and the world began to spin faster. ~Cashew~

Halloween!!! ...and a Deck Contest???
10/31/06 - Well, it's Halloween, kiddies!
And it's time to start building. While some of you are going to go
trick-or-treating around town, I know there are others of you that are,
well, a bit too old to trick-or-treat. And thus, BUILD A DECK!
This isn't a formal contest, but it's a contest to build the most
intriguing Halloween themed deck. Whether you are focusing on
Witches, Dark Spells, Dark Cats, Candy, Jack-o-Lanterns, Werewolves,
Ghosts, or anything else related to Halloween, make a deck out of it and
post it in
this
forum thread. MDV Staff will review the submissions and crown the
top three decks with a place in the MDV Deck Database. All decks
are due by the end of the day. Please

Welcome fans to the MDV Reader Voting portion of MDV Idol 2: In the
Crossfire! During the last seasons voting session, we grouped all
the entries by the order of entry into the contest. This time, we
decided that we would have the grouping done by randomly pairing all the
contestants in groups, instead of just having the order of entry decide
the pairing. So I have taken the liberty and have randomly placed each
contestant into Groups A through E. Voting threads are located

Now!
7/11/06 -The
original plan was to have you vote for one card and the top five vote
getting cards would be sent to the Judges for the final round, in which
a winner would be selected. However, with the extra large number of
entrants, I have decided to break the cards down, into five groups. The
card in each group that gets the most votes, will go on to the finals.
The groups will consist of three groups of nine, and two groups of

Comic Search! -- Enter with your comic.
7/5/06 - Many sites all over the net have
had MTG related comic strips including UG Madness, Pro Magic Online and
Manascrewed. Not that I am trying to compete, but I would like to
see what you all are capable of. Anyone can enter, as long
as you can host the comic image to post in the
forums. Submit a comic strip, small or large, balck and white
or color, deep or shallow in the forum. The winner will be voted
upon and posted on the main site. Please post your comics, ideas,

3/23/06 - This is a friendly reminder that submissions for Tekk's Art
Contest #5 are due April 3rd (quickly approaching). For more

Tekk has a very cool green card which you need to illustrate based on his

- This is a tight contest. You are given approx. three days to make
the coolest druid. You get only one entry and Ghurhgs and I will
judge. The winning card wil be featured on MDV on Friday or Saturday!
There are some specific guildlines (like your card must be a creature)
so check out the thread for more information. Ghurhgs and I will be
