Betrayers of Kamigawa (BOK) is the second set in the
Kamigawa block and contains 165 cards. The set's story is inspired by
Japanese medieval myths, revolves around the battle between spirits and
living beings, and has cards with Japanese-flavored names.
BOK introduced several new mechanics and developed previously featured
mechanics including Ninjutsu, Offering, Heroes (flip-cards) and Splice
onto Arcane. BOK also featured the first non-Wall creature(s) with
defender.
The most notable card from this set is Umezawa's Jitte, which has wreaked
havoc on almost every format in the game.
