You basically lay down your defensive
creatures, plop down Citadel of Pain, plop down an exhauster ( Idol or
Spirit), plop down Manabarbs, and then protect your "lock" with the free
counters for some time until your opponent is dead. Plus, the Spirit has
flying so it can deliver some beats before setting up the trap.
Cave-In clears the board of weenies and lets you avoid
taking pain from Manabarbs since it's "free". Echoing Truth and Fire/Ice
provide utility, and Thirst for Knowledge is an excellent draw spell for
this deck because of its high artifact count.
Scoria Cat provides another finisher and can also serve
as a huge Wall when you need it or you already have your combo going.
I had a previous version running Talismans, which worked
nicely but I couldnīt find what else to take out for the Droplets.
