Atog.
Description of deck by it's author
(quoted):
In
researching all of the classic decks.. I had an idea. The first Atog
really does not get enough attention (in my opinion)... so I thought,
'how can I do the cereal thing without Enduring Renewal?'
No Rest for the Wicked and Yawgmoth's
Will. I have not yet play tested this deck but the concept is
simple. Lay down your 0 casting cost artifacts and Reckless Charge
them. Do it again next turn and then lay down your other cards
like No Rest for the Wicked, Claw of Gix and Atog. You can attack
with Atog and sack all of your artifact creatures and do like 6-10
damage. Then no rest for the wicked them and lay them all down
again. Tap them with Kyren Negotiations and do another 4-6 points
of damage to your opponent. Demonic Tutor is in there for card
search and Chainer's Edict is in there for creature control. This
deck is not suited against control or Stompy, but I am working on
it.
Since the casting costs for everything
in this deck is low, I can afford to put only 20 lands in (note that 8
of them are creature lands and 4 are the pain/search lands). With
all of the easily cast 0 costed creatures, you don't need a lot of
speed. Another problem with the deck is card advantage.. although
I guess with Yawgmoth's Will (bring back all 8 of your 0 casting cost
creatures with ease) and No rest.. that is my card advantage
there.
