Description of deck by its author
(quoted):
If you are like me, you have quite a few extra
cards lying around that you'll never use again. Why not turn those cards
into a deck that will annoy people?
My goal is to build a deck out of cheap, usually
inferior cards designed to beat a certain deck type. Of course, I have a
few general rules...
1. The lousier and cheaper the cards in the deck the
better.
2. The deck can't just be a blatant hose deck... It needs to appear like a
normal deck.
3. The cards in the deck should be able to be purchased through this site
for under $10.00.
4. It can't over-utilize any evasion abilities that are not available in
the format of the deck it is designed to beat. It can't be all Shadow
creatures, but it can include a couple.
5. It must be Vintage legal.
Quick Notes about some of the cards...
- Bubbling Muck- Sat in my hand often. Great
when I had an Endless Scream.
- Mischievous Poltergeist- Quite Effective.
Allowed me to tap out for an Endless Scream, and keep some defense.
- Drudge Skeletons and Fog of Gnats- They
worked. Nothing spectacular, but for the price...
- Dauthi Marauder- Often was Pyrite Spellbombed.
- Spike Cannibal- Arcbound Ravager eater. Plus,
most of the people at the card shop relied much more upon Modular.
- Scent of Nightshade- Scent of Nightshade
worked surprisingly well. I thought it would sit in my hand a lot more
often than it did.
- Endless Scream- Pretty much was the only win
card. Fortunately, I drew it a lot...
