Description of deck by its author (quoted):
Wrath of God doesn't like creatures that go back to your hand like the Sandscout and Sandstalker.  Scent of Cinder does.

With cards like Brass Herald and Onslaught, you should have no problem dealing with your opponent's creatures, having card advantage, and doing some damage.  Firebolt and arc lightning also help in sacking your opponent's creatures to clear the way for your viashino.  The few creatures that do stick around like retromancer and the Outrider, are hefty as well as advantageous since the retromancer deals damage to an opponent each time he targets him.
