Description of deck by its author (quoted):
I added the Chord of Calling and Citanul Flute
as tutors. Since I added the chords, I had to add a bit more green to
make up for the somewhat difficult casting cost on it. At least it did
add a bit more flavor to the deck. The Piper's Melody is merely a
safeguard to get my unicorns back. Besides, I can tutor for the shuffled
cards with the Citanul Flute. I sideboarded the Anjlot's Ascent with a
few mana fixers because I had to splash in the blue for the flying. I
added the Proper Burial so in combination with the Angelic Chorus, I
gain life both when I play my unicorns and when they die. This way it
serves a double purpose of showing the flavor based idea of their
healing properties and serves to keep myself alive. The Armadillo Cloak
is there to increase the effectiveness of my creatures and at the same
time also how the healing side of my creatures, which fits well with the
flavor of the deck. The Prismatic Circle is there to show the protective
side of the deck, which also helps keep me alive and also serves as a
flavor enhancer. If I still need ways to solidify this deck, feel free
to give ideas.
Two Stipulations:
1: Please keep the flavor of this deck as is, a mix of protection and
healing, to keep up the idea of what unicorns generally represent. Also,
the splash of music based cards shows the benefit of music for creatures,
and falls more in line with the name of the deck.
2: I tend to want to keep this deck tribal in regards to the type of
creatures I have in it, I know there are some nice cards that fit in with
the theme of the deck that are outside of unicorns, but I do not want to
change the creature types of this deck. |
