Description of deck by it's author
(quoted):
[My contest entry, Temper,] uses Magmasaur to do damage to clear the
board of everything but a spike rogue and/or a savage Firecat.
These then do some serious damage, with a spike cannibal to finish them
off. The Volrath's Stronghold gets the Magmasaur back, and temper
prevents the Magmasaur from leaving me creatureless [in some cases].
The Spike Feeders and Weavers protect me early on. The Temper and
Wake work well on the Firecat. My Spike Rogue redistributes
counters as necessary (useful on the Magmasaur). The Gaea's Cradle
will provide huge amounts of mana later on if necessary. I would
replace some of the lands with Dual-Lands if they're legal - I am not
sure. It it's quick enough, then it'll play very well.
Webmaster comments: Of all
the deck submissions, I think this is my favorite only because I
personally like a variety in card selection. While card selection
can be good, it can also be a downfall. In this case, the scoring
was lower than others for the Focus and Balance because of this.
However, its creativity was a five... so in summary.. NICE DECK! I
would encourage those of you who like interesting (non-typical MBC)
decks to try this one out. Thank you for deck submission!
