Description of deck by it's author
(quoted):
The basic principle of the deck, as presented
in the e-mail sent to me, is to produce a Tempting Wurm for three mana
(1GU) through the use of Stifle, an event that would ideally occur on
turn two after a Birds of Paradise on turn one. Since Tempting Wurm’s
negative ability is a significant drawback, the opponent must either be
devoid of cards in his/her hand when the card is played, or said ability
must be Stifled. Though Hunting Wumpus has a drawback that is far less
severe, a 6/6 creature for 3GU isn’t shabby, though it’s obviously not
as good as a 5/5 creature for 1GU. To run such a deck, bounce spells
(Unsummon) and control spells (Wing Shards, Wrath of God, Mana Leak) are
both utilized in an attempt to keep the board clear for an attack by the
Wurm/Wumpus duo. In addition, the Tempting Wurm can be used as bait for
a Wrath of God if it isn’t Stifled.
