Description of deck by its author (quoted):
This deck is centered on Bonds, Megrim and
reusable creature discard effects. The best scenario is Telekinetic
Bonds in play along with Megrim and a couple of Lore Brokers. Tap both
Lore Brokers, sifting through your deck and forcing your opponent to do
so as well. Megrim will then trigger twice as your opponent discards,
hitting him for four damage and triggering your Bonds. Untap the
Brokers, hit the opponent for four more and set up threshold to ring his
bell with a six-damage Cephalid Coliseum.
Of Course, Lore Brokers isn’t the only creature that can
be abused with Bonds. Nezumi Shortfang, Vodalian Hypnotist and Cabal
Interrogator also get the discard going. With all these opportunities to
untap, be sure to get Bounty Hunter into the mix. Just tap, untap and
retap to destroy anything for the low, low cost of a colorless and a blue
mana and a discard effect from one of his friends. Visara works much the
same way, but also can get in there for five in the sky. Nightmare Void
comes into the picture late in the game when you have a Megrim or two
online and just want to dwindle the last few points of life from your
opponent’s precious total.
You can dress it up or dress it down depending on how
much money you’re willing to spend, but there’re a lot of hood times to be
had with this crazy discard engine. Bonds might be pretty horrible, but
with the right supporting cast, it can leave an unprepared opponent locked
down. |
