Description of deck by it's author
(quoted):
The Idea of the deck is quite simple, Keep
your opponent's on their toes by forcing them bounce permanents to their
hand with the likes of Umbilicus, Temporal spring, Crystal Shard, and
Plow Under from the sideboard, all the while replaying your own spells.
If possible, playing a Tangle Wire early in the game can be back
breaking for your opponents. Forcing them to tap four permanents on each
of their turns while you just bounce it back to your hand at your own
upkeep with the help of Umbilicus and play it again. All the creatures
in the deck can benefit from being bounced and replayed. Sage Owl and
Coiling Oracle provide card advantage, while Wall of Roots provides mana
acceleration, and can even be bounced to your hand when it gets low on
toughness. Patagia Viper and Pestermite only get better when replayed
and an early Kavu Titan can always be bounced and replayed with kicker,
resulting in a bigger, badder Kavu.
The Sideboard is also quite simple. The Uktabi
Orangutan, and Indrik Stomphowler provide a way of dealing with
troublesome artifacts and enchantments. Wall of Blossoms and Eternal
Witness give the deck more card advantage. Tsabo's Web "turns off" a lot
of lands, and the card draw is just gravy. Pithing Needle also "turns
off" a lot of troublesome cards in the game, and at 1 colorless mana,
it's also a prime target for bouncing with Umbilicus.
