Description of deck by its author (quoted):
Champions of Kamigawa is loaded with enough discard to make any old-school monoblack mage salivate. So why not make that saliva rabid with slew of rats? Led by Nezumi Shortfang, black's discard component in Champions brings the heat fast and furious, especially when you toss Mirrodin's Necrogen Spellbomb into the equation. Between foes playing out spells and your blowing their hand to high heaven, you'll have enemies in top-deck mode on turn-four or earlier. From there, Shortfang becomes Stabwhisker the Odious, and your foes ain't long for the world. Wicked Akuba chips in with the beats, while Nezumi Graverobber/Nighteyes the Desecrator also goes to house.

The beauty of this deck is that it's not screwed if it doesn't come out flying with discard. Often, you can wreck serious havoc with a lone flipped-over Graverobber -- Shizo gives fear to your legends, remember -- or Akuba. This in turn will help empty your foe's hand for when you find you discard spells. In the meantime, just keep swingin'.
