Description of deck by it's author
(quoted):
This
deck is more expensive money wise, but if you have the resources, try
it. Everybody says Seton sucks, so I'm going to try to change that.
First of all, we need to have some druids in this deck. Woodland Druid
is a shoe-in; a 1/2 for 1 green mana, no drawbacks! Druid Lyrist will
also help take care of enchantments, and Krosan Wayfarer is a good mana
accelerator. Since Seton's ability is only for green, and he's green
heavy anyway, well make this mono green. I'm in a token kind of mood
right now, so lets add some token creatures. Chatter of the Squirrel is
obviously in, as is Beast Attack. Roar of the Wurm might also fit, even
without discarders because Seton is such a great accelerator. If were
going for expensive stuff, lets also throw in a few copies of Crush of
Wurms. To cheapen the tokens, Ill put in 4 Catalyst Stones as well. To
take care of red/green rush, well have some Moments Peace, which works
nicely with the Flashback Theme. Now a couple of Overruns to finish off
chump-blocking...
MDV COMMENTS: Woodland Druid is
the only choice I have to disagree with... Elvish Pioneer from Onslaught
I think would be better. Also, if I was to put this deck together I
would replace the Overruns with Kamahl, Fist of Krosa. An every turn
overrun is much better than a one shot Overrun without flashback. It
gives you land advantage for only one mana. My point is a creature with
no ability is usually a bad creature. 1/2 is not bad for one mana... but
an extra land and a 1/1 for one mana is better. Just my opinion... I
always wanted to put a deck together using Seton and this is why I am
posting the deck. |
