Description of deck by its author (quoted):
My friend Sean Mangner and I have been playing this deck on Magic Online some lately. While I normally have a huge Hatred for Standard I find this deck is actually fun to play. For the first time in a long while I have finally enjoyed playing this usually stale format. Cedric Phillips originally designed the deck and almost got through the grinders at Pro Tour Philly with it, but lost in the last round, which helps show the deck really does have the potential to be a contender in the current metagame.

Ravenous Rats/Chittering Rats - as far as the deck is concerned these are the exact same card. Against control they double as a threat and card advantage wrapped up into one efficient card. Against aggro they either slow down or remove a threat while trading with an opposing attacker. In combination with ninjitsu they become amazing card advantage. No matter what the matchup you always want to see these.

Skullsnatcher/Throat Slitter - Both of these work great in combination with the previously mentioned rats, on top of the fact that they have useful damage abilities. The Throat Slitter is pretty straight forward as to what he does. Skullsnatcher, however, affects the game in a more subtle way. The graveyard removal is surprisingly good against any deck with Eternal Witness and against any aggro deck doubles as a two power blocker.

Nezumi Short Fang - Well... Yeah... I'm sure everyone has seen this guy in action.

Nezumi Cutthroat - I originally thought this card was just a cute way to follow the rat theme of the deck, however after playing with the deck the card is really good. He is a consistent source of damage that is a great outlet for both Throat Slitter and Ink-Eyes.

Nekrataal - This is one of the best cards in the deck for sure. He has such great interaction with the ninjas it's absurd. Not only is his comes into play ability great, but when he attacks he is rarely blocked because of his first strike. This creates a lose-lose situation for your opponent. Definitely lose a creature to blocking or possibly lose two creatures to the Slitter/Replay Nekrataal combo.

Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni - See Nezumi Shortfang.

Aether Vial - Most people already know how good this card is, but in this deck it's even more amazing. Not only do you get instant speed tricks like Nekrataal, you get the amazing "after you draw but before your main phase" put Chittering/Ravenous Rats into play.

Jitte - This is another card where no explanation is needed. My only real advice here is to draw it more often than your opponent draws answers for it.
