Description of deck by it's author
(quoted):
This
deck is far from perfect. I know it has a long way to go, but I
don't plan on taking this to any tourney or anything. This deck is
mainly for fun... I mean, how often can you say poisoning your friends
is fun! 8^)
First off, I needed a way to do a
poison counter (or two) without having to attack. The Fire Whips
and the Arcane teachings are my answer to that. Then I needed a
way to protect myself from creatures attacking me. I don't think
you could fit enough fogs in here to protect me from any type of
barrage. The Ensnaring Bridges work very well for that purpose.
After that I needed a way to keep from
getting burned. I didn't want to fit blue in here so I found some
Null Brooches. It just so happened that the Bridges and the
Brooches are great together. It'll shut down a creature deck in a
hurry, and it also works against burn decks pretty well.
That's the engine of the deck, but I
don't know what to put in for support cards. The vitalize works
for a finisher, but I think there is better. And I am not sure
about the mana accelerators. I think I can upgrade for something
more efficient. With the depletion lands, I kind of have a burst
effect. I have all this mana and then it's gone.
