Description of deck by it's author (quoted):
On first looking at this deck, the mana base seems very shaky. But, every thing has its purpose there. Undiscovered Paradise helps a lot with land tax, and Mox Diamond can be reliably cast with Land Tax, overall, I would not change the mana base, Dust Bowl can be recurring Land Destruction versus Gro or other decks.

The creature base:- Jackal Pups are the normal weenies to be used in any red deck. No Cadets there, as this is slower than Sligh and has less burn. The vanishing creatures can hit even if the board is clogged, that is why I like them. 1 Masticore is there to be fetched with Enlightened Tutor.

Overall, I would make only changes in the spell base. 4 Tax/2 Rack is enough, and serves Masticore, but in todays environment you need much more Swords and removal. I would cut Wishes, as nowadays they are too slow, so I would do -2 Wish +2 Swords.

Because Wishes are gone, the sideboard needs complete remodeling. Swords must go, as we already run 4 in the main deck. Wheel of Fortune is no longer Fetchable, and loses most of its power. Armageddon is useless versus Gro, and most decks as they can Gush out, or counter it, or is too slow versus aggro. I would still keep balance in there though, as it helps in a lot of matchups.

I would add a Masticore and 2-3 Exalted Angel. I would also add 1 more Hammer of Bogardan as a recurring threat versus some decks. Here is the final list.
