Description of deck by Jeremy Smith in IQ Gamer #124 - August 2005:
While Soh’s Rift/Slide deck barely lost to Fujita’s red minions, we think it still shows an exciting peek into what will surely be one of the top Extended decks once October rolls around. It’s hard enough to deal with Flametongue Kavu, Eternal Witness and Wrath of God; when you recycle them ad infinitum, they just become downright ludicrous.

In case you haven’t seen similar decks before, here’s the lowdown. In the early game, you want to cycle lands, Eternal Dragons and Krosan Tuskers a few times to get to your business spells, the Rift and Slide. Creatures such as the Witness, Simulacrum and Flametongue can serve as blockers early on and can recur repeatedly once Slide goes online. Renewed Faith, Slice and Dice and Wrath of God keep you out of the danger zone. Once you’ve taken out your opponent’s threats and gotten up to a safe life total, you’ll be able to finish the game with a Dragon or two plus any groundpounders you’ve got left.

SIDEBOARD:
3 Artifact Mutation
3 Oxidize
4 Plow Under
3 Silver Knight
2 Sphere of Law
