Description of deck by it's author
(quoted):
The deck mainly revolves around the Tangleroot/Equilibrium combo,
along with any of the numerous come into play ability creatures it
stocks. The essence of the combo is to play a creature, then stack the
Equilibrium’s effect under the Tangleroot’s. After you get the mana
from the Tangleroot, you can then use it to pay for the Equilibrium,
bouncing another creature you control, or one that your opponent does.
With this combo, any come into play creatures that you play essentially
become sorceries with a buyback cost of 0.
While this may not seem particularly
more lethal with the Tangleroot than without, let me assure you that it
is. Drawing three cards off of a Wall of Blossoms/Cloud of Faeries would
require an outstanding twelve mana! With a Tangleroot in play, the same
play only requires a much more manageable six mana. As you play this
deck, you will quickly notice that while it runs without the Tangleroot,
it is the same as putting lighter fluid in your car. The mana engine
that the Tangleroot creates allows the deck to rev up to full speed, and
therefore be not only a lot of fun to play, but very competitive. Once
it gets going, this combo can quickly lead to a deadly scenario for your
opponent, allowing you to gain massive advantages in tempo, cards, and
position. |
