Between the Justice, Alarm, and Blinkmoths there's plenty of
non-creature spell creatures you can activate the Staff on to fetch out
your Colossus. Once he's in play you pretty much swing a few times and
win. Is this more reliable than Charbelcher? As someone who hasn't even
tried the original Staff deck, I can't really say, but I have to say I
feel much better about putting my eggs into a massive 11/11 trampling
indestructible killing machine.
