Description of deck by it's author
(quoted):
For my version
of the Mono white lifegain deck, I'm going to start out with the Words
of Worship and the Howling Mines. The Synergy between these cards is
amazing, I can almost feel the electricity jumping off my computer
screen. With just one of each out, you have the possibility to gain 10
life per turn. The only problem I see is that it keeps you from drawing
some creature cards. Now is the time for the Mobilization to kick in.
For a total of 5 mana, you gain 10 life and put out a 1/1 soldier token
EVERY TURN. Thats a huge advantage.
It would take a very special deck to
keep up with your lifegain. Dont forget that with more Howling Mines,
the advantage grows. We also cant forget about our opponent, what would
magic be if we didn't have ways to keep him/her from pulling off his or
her win condition. I threw in some Disenchants (a white deck would be
lost without them) and some Pacifisms. Now you have ways to stop the big
nasty Grinning Demon in his tracks.
I'm just about to add the finishing
touch… Golden Wish, the best "tutor" card in white. OK so
its not REALLY a "tutor" card, but it acts like one. With the
Golden Wish, you have the possibility of drawing 6 of each of the
following: Test of Endurance, Words of Worship, Mobilization, Pacifism,
and Howling Mine. What a coincidence, all of these cards are key factors
in you win condition. Just make sure that your sideboard includes one of
each. Now I don't think you'll have any problem drawing the cards you
need to make this elaborate deck work together as prescribed.
