Description of deck by it's author
(quoted):
The Called deck is predicated on spped. You need a Nantuko Husj or
Carrior Feeder in play by turn three. A turn-two Husk is nice, but
often, you're better off swampcycling to keep your land buildup going.
IN an ideal world, you want to reach critical mass -- four creatures --
in your graveyard as quickly as possible, by cycling Twisted Abomination
and having your Husk chow down, usually on the Caller-fetching Wirewood
Herald.
Unless something across the table is
giving you fits, your first Living Wish target should always be Wirewood
Symbiote. Once you can start snaking, recurring creatures and bouncing
the Caller for double-duty each turn, things tend to get ugly in a
hurry. This is another reason the landcyclers are so great in this deck;
you'd like to get to six mana to use the Caller on both your own and
your foe's turns if possible.
Meanwhile, just keep swinging with your
Husk and Feeder. You're not worried about creatures dying, especially
your nontoken ones that count toward the Caller. Also, don't forget that
if you ear the Caller in reponse to its comes-into-play ability, you get
an extra bear token. |
